Date: from 17th of July to 8th of Aug.

Place: Ueno Park  *5-minute walk from Ueno Sta.

The Shinobazu Pond in Ueno Park is the central stage for the annual summer festival. It’s a typical summer in Ueno to spot couples in yukata browsing around the plant fair, street fair and antique market at the festival. Live performances of band, enka (Japanese popular ballad), yose vaudeville and dance will be held at the music hall on the water. A parade is scheduled on July 24 at Ueno Chuo Street.
